My interest lies in injured myocardium and signaling involved in it. I received my doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) in Dec 2006, on the work focusing the role of gp130 and its downstream pathways in myocardial infarction. Myocardial injury and progression of infarct reflects intricate mechanisms between remodeling of myocardium and various signaling deciding the final outcome. I am interested in studying the pathways involved in these processes.
